Explore the park with a guided nighttime bike ride presented by Riverbend. Appropriate safety gear is recommended and required.This event will not hang out bikes to use, so the event asks participants to bring their own bike. Participants should bring water and are encouraged to pre-register as space is limited.  


What: Full Moon Bike Ride 

When: Friday, February 14th

Time: 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.

Age: 8+

Cost: $10 (registration required) 


Arrive 10-15 minutes before the program start time to check in at the park office. For bike riders that are just starting off, here are some safety precautions to take: 

  • Wear a properly fitted helmet every time you ride. Wearing a helmet can reduce the severity of head and brain injuries

  • Use reflective tape, gear, or accessories at night to be as visible as possible.

  • Carry a tire pump, tire levers, patch kit, and spare tube.

  • Carry water or a sports drink using a water bottle holder (often called a cage).

  • Equip your bike with a white front headlight as well as a red rear reflector and/or light for riding in twilight, darkness, and poor weather conditions. (Legally required in Minnesota.)

  • Carry identification and pertinent medical information.


RIverbend Park holds historical knowledge along with chances to walk, bicycle, canoe and much more. There are nearly 10 miles of hiking/biking trails, 7 miles of equestrian trails and 5 miles of canoeing/kayaking trails allowing for hours of enjoyment. 


Riverbend Park’s educational programs cover the local environment and history, and visitors can explore Seminole War battlefields.
