Innovation can be found in the most unlikely places. The sawmill is one of those innovations, the invention came from a response on how to make a quicker way of handling lumber which would be helpful for farmers, woodsmen or for the family fire. Riverbend Park recognizes this “turn of the century” technology that has helped provide an efficient and productive way to the what we have today and invites the public to its recreated farmstead that contains sawyers that will cut and plane logs into boards.
